Design Notes

Design considerations included making sure to use representative data from Pfam, evaluating any large gaps when compared to the starting E coli sequence, and determining whether these should be kept in the sequence or removed.

This version of CasA is a predicted ancestral sequence. It comes from a prediction made using Pfam seed data (PF09481) as an input for PAML with Lazarus, which is used to predict sequences of a common ancestor.
